Welcome to the newest section of my website. The first portfolios to be featured are black & white photographs of Ireland called:

IRELAND/Forty Shades of Grey

Artists, authors and poets have referred to Ireland having "...forty shades of green...". I believe Ireland in black & white emphasizes the mystique of its culture and legends.

My first trip to Ireland was in the summer of 1976. I left the U.S.A. in full bloom with bunting celebrating its bicentennial and arrived in a country where two hundred years was only a speck on its ancient roots.

On subsequent trips I found myself seeing the country in "shades of grey" instead of the lush color that is unique to each county.

These portfolios are select images from several trips that best demonstrate some of the country and its people.

Thank you for visiting my gallery section and I hope one day you will have the opportunity to visit Ireland.
